The person in this role helps the department achieve its goals by efficiently and accurately handling premium billing and eligibility processing tasks. They use automated systems and various billing methods to ensure timely and thorough maintenance of these activities.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Hourly Wage: Minimum: $18.75 -  $22.00, plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
  • Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2024, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2024, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2024 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Handles premium and eligibility processing, responds to customer inquiries by investigating and resolving issues, and meets production, quality, and time service requirements while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with company personnel to ensure successful program implementation and delivery.
  • Evaluates and maintains the eligibility of certificate holders for enrollment, premium application, and claims, ensuring compliance with policyholder contracts and legal requirements.
  • Determines billing statement accuracy, analyzes premium payments, and ensures data accuracy on COMPASS and GFS systems to comply with contractual obligations.
  • Communicates with policyholders and brokers to obtain necessary information, educates them on contract provisions, resolves eligibility and billing issues, and provides daily management updates on workload and inventory.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Excellent customer service and human relations skills with good verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to effectively convey instructions and information to associates and customers.
  • Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, creativity, and flexibility.
  • Proficient in using personal computers, Microsoft applications, typing, data entry, and operating a computer keyboard and calculator accurately and attentively.
  • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and in a listed location.

PREFERRED:

  • Knowledge of eligibility requirements, master contract provisions, and applicable federal/state laws
  • Knowledge of contract provisions and their impact on the ability to collect premiums and determine eligibility
